Compliance
When importing merchandise into the commerce of the United States, the importer is responsible for adhering to all Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Regulations as well as any Other Governmental Agencies (OGA) Regulations. Every importer should have a basic knowledge of import requirements to avoid problems, delays, fines penalties, and additional expenses.
Determine if the goods are subject to other governmental agenies (FDA, FCC, USDA, ect). Provide shipper U.S. Customs commercial invoice requirementsincluding varified tariff number. Provide valid country of origin certificates to take advanage ofpreferential trade agreements. Review the entry summary (C.F. 7501) for accuracy of classification, valuation, and country of origin. Keep all records relating to every entry for seven years.
